Democratic men are not sexist
Edited on Thu Apr-24-08 08:16 PM by barack the house
There may of been things said on the board in the heat of the moment which can be deemed sexist, which on the opposing side, they have given, as good as they have got. BUT Democratic men are not sexist. One of the biggest ideals of the party is respecting a woman's right to choose, that I am sure all males on here approve of, and their right to advance and succeed. So, if you are looking for genuine sexism, that belongs to the Republican party who have made every effort to hold women down, and corrupt media to continue this ideal. This was not done by Demcratic men. So, while looking for spots on our ties, remember Republicans spilt the whole dinner on the linen. So, as friendly as McCain is he is no form protest vote, if people truly believe in the advancement of women.

1. Baloney. And, when you use our party as an adjective, it's "Democratic"

10. Well, it took great effort for me to translate his post...
but basically what I got out of it was, "Men in the Democratic Party aren't sexist because we let y'all hang out with us."

An oddly paternalistic sentiment...and the "Democrat men" thing elicited a chuckle or two from me.

22. I think what he was trying to say is that men in the democratic party...
support womens rights and that it is the men in the republican party that do not.

And for an example, all you really need is to look at the equal pay bill the McCain voted against today.

...Now, you know how I feel. I want equal everything for everyone.

14. Actually, I'm not sure you're correct. "Democrat Party" is wrong usage, certainly.
However, if you were talking about, say, the 2004 election, you would say that George Bush was the Republican and John Kerry was the Democrat. So he would be the Democrat, not the "Democratic".

We are "Democrats", not "Democratics".

Certainly, saying Democrat Party is wrong. "Democrat Men", maybe not so much.

18. The way you use Democrat in your sentence is as a noun.
I said that Democratic is proper when used as an adjective.

20. I'll say this- it's no worse than using "latte" as an adjective.
Although, please- don't let that interfere with the 15 minutes hate.

5. Don't you know, this the only blog/forum site on the whole internet where spelling counts.
Your point matters not if you don't have proper spelling and grammar.

I don't think you could have stood in our way if you had wanted to.

You're not really helping your cause by posting crap that you can't even spell.

I hope you keep posting.

Can I ask you a serious question?

in terms of policy. But ALL men are sexist, as are ALL women, a fact that gets less attention.
