About McCain and his wooing of moderate "democrats"....
Just who are these moderate democrats who can be wooed by a republican like John McCain?

And by calling the democrats who can be "wooed" by John McCain and his ilk moderate, what does that say, at least in the eyes of the so-called "mainstream" media, about the rest of us?

Are we "bat shit crazy" democrats because we want say, civil rights for all Americans?

Does the fact that those of us who are unwooable by McCain make us somehow out of touch with the rest of America?

Are Democrats who are supporting sweeping reforms to the veterans programs this country offers our men and women fighting under our flag are somehow not moderate because John McCain doesn't support support those reforms?

Opposing the war in Iraq, I guess, would mean we are unwooable by McCain. Does that make us bomb throwing radicals in the eyes of those who consider "moderate" democrats as those who are susceptible to the willy courting or one John McCain?

People, language does matter today just as much, if not more, than it did when Hitler wooed the German people with his nationalism and uber patriotism directed toward the fatherland.

If our candidates insists on letting the so-called mainstream media paint people who are leaning toward McCain as moderates, they are basically saying that yes we are bat shit crazy bomb throwing radicals even though our aspirations for our country are more mainstream and more in touch with most Americans that all that crap flowing from McCain's pie hole.

3. I live in the midwest, and alot of my relatives, friends etc.
are moderate democrats (some are even liberal republicans...if that's not an oxymoron), and I have yet to hear one say they will vote for McCain, unless, (and this is big) "another terrorist attack happens". Why the fuck anyone believes the pukes are better on defense and security I will never know!

8. I never understood that philosophy. If we are attacked again, it would be the second attack
during a republic administration (yes I meant republic since they make it a point to call us Democrat). Why then would they so trusted with our security?

4. I consider myself
a 'moderate Democrat' on some issues. McCain will never get my vote. Ever. Ever. Ever.

The guy is a creep in my book and there is nothing he can do or say to change my opinion. Well, maybe he could totally change his positions on just about everything, but that is not likely and if he did I doubt I'd really trust him.

His so-called Maverick ways only appear when his vote doesn't matter.

7. a made up group to spark divisiveness with the Dems. These are republicans.
I'm tired of pandering to this so-called group. If we are true to our ideals and values as a party, we can win. They do go by other names also, in particular "reagan democrats".
