Tallkingpointsmemo: Obama Winning More Edwards Supporters Than Clinton
Obama Winning More Edwards Supporters Than Clinton
By Eric Kleefeld - April 25, 2008, 8:42AM

While John Edwards has stayed on the sidelines since he dropped out of the presidential race, Barack Obama has succeeded in getting far more of Edwards' organizational support than Hillary Clinton --

FEC records show that Obama has raised almost $1 million from previous Edwards donors, compared to only $427,000 for Clinton. Another key statistic: Nine of Edwards' former Congressional backers have now endorsed Obama -- compared to zero for Clinton.

1. Notice the ZERO for Clinton right now
I don't see a groundswell of Edwards supporters or SDs making a switch TO Clinton.

2. Even after she tried to mimic his message right after he got out. His
supporters saw through that acting job.

10. Obama’s allies hope for an Edwards’s endorsement
John Edwards’s supporters are flocking to Sen. Obama

http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/john-edwardss-supporters-are-flocking-to-sen.-obama-2008-04-24.html

Donors, activists and members of Congress who backed former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) are flocking to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).

The strong bias among Edwards’s supporters prompts Obama’s allies to hope for an endorsement by the former candidate that could help him in big states, such as Ohio and Pennsylvania, that were won by Clinton.

........

Rumors are flying that this may happen soon - hope so! If Edwards goes to HRC then it will seem very strange after what Edwards said about her corporate ties!

11. “Will she be the person who brings about the change in this country?
You know, I believe in Santa Claus. I believe in the tooth fairy. But I don't think that's going to happen. I really don't.

And I think that if people want the status quo, Senator Clinton's your candidate.”

- John Edwards

12. Most Edwards supporters are well aware of Hillary's DLC connection
and being populists, it's quite understandable that they would ignore Clinton like the plague. I would bet money that Kucinich supporters are pulling for Obama as well.
