Bumper sticker reality check -- has Bush lost his "base?"
I noticed something quite by accident the other day. I had to go to the mall and entered the wrong entrance, meaning I had to drive through the parking lot to get closer to the store I was going to. (I hate malls and spend as little time there as humanly possible.)

I live in an area with a large number of Republicans and "Bush/Cheney" stickers and those horrid little "W '04" stickers were everywhere. But that day at the mall, I noticed that I didn't see any -- I pay attention to these things. So, then I started really looking. And, I'm not seeing any. I think I've seen one of the "W '04" stickers in the last week. It's like they all just disappeared.

So, I'm wondering if there isn't something weird going on. Is it that these people have finally realized they fucked up the country by voting for Bush and now they're ashamed to admit it? I hope so.

If that's what it is, then we have to hang Bush around McCain's neck like a red-hot anvil. The Dems should never show one photo of McCain where is isn't hugging or kissing Bush. And Bush's name should always be mentioned within 10 words of mentioning McCain. We should never talk about any social or economic problem without mentioning how it was caused by Bush and McCain (even if it wasn't).

If we do that, any Dem can beat Bush/McCain in a landslide.

1. The rest of us are so ticked off they're probably afraid of drive-bys
or having their cars keyed. NOt that Democrats would do something like that, but Republicans think we would.

3. That's fantastic -- now if
we could just add sound with a "Four more years" chant, it would be perfect.

4. Or maybe because that election was 4 years ago
On a more noteworthy note, I have not seen a McCain sticker in this very Republican neighborhood of mine in a long time.
