Face It, Edwards Doesn't Have The Same Experience as Cheney or Bush
Why, when they were HALF of Edwards' age, they both had a couple of arrests for DUI. Can Edwards make that claim? Hell no!!

1. Yeah I know.
You know, Kerry should have picked a running mate with more DUI arrests. Maybe another one for theft would have been better too. After all, we need more criminals in Washington. <Sarcasm Off>

2. Like Ross Perot said of Bush I:
"You're right, I don't have experience running up a deficit."

4. Edwards has not run a business into the ground
in his entire life.

Why, Bush* ran two companies in the Texas oil business into the ground, even though his Poppy is a rich, suave, well-connected insider who did everything but hand him the keys to the vault. Now that's the kind of experience we need (like a hole in the head...)

5. John Edwards has yet to turn the world's sympathy and affection into
contempt.

6. Wasn't Bush always bragging that he wasn't a Washington insider
like he was proud of it. Are they flip-flopping again? The reason they are always talking about flip-flopping is because they are experts at it.

8. And they don't have the education that he has, which was not a "given"
and Edwards was the first in his family to go to college.

He has the experience of not taking things for granted, especially money. On the other hand, he's not an expert in crony capitalism, either. Somehow Bush/Cheney have both dirtied their hands in a big way because they've managed to line the pockets of their buddies while engaging in their version of foreign policy. And the thing they're really good at is having people Rove who can hide these facts from the public.

Kerry & Edwards are putting the interest of the country and of the people here and overseas on the front burner. They wouldn't dare try to pull any of the dirty stuff we've seen for the past 4 years. Of course they're not perfect, but they have a vision and integrity.

Clark may have been my first choice, but I am very excited about the Democratic ticket now! Go team; fight the good fight for the PEOPLE!

10. YES..
it came out a couple weeks before the Selection of 2000, just a little to late to have sunk in with the public and been of much help to Gore.

11. bush vs. edwards = 6 years as senator vs. 6 years as Texas governor
Edited on Wed Jul-07-04 06:44 PM by LiberalManiacfromOC
In terms of experience.

Edit: I won't count running oil companies into the ground because bush obviously gain any experience there considering he did it twice.

13. That's a really important point!
Vice Presidential experience is obviously not as important as
Presidential. So this would make a great debate issue.
Just like not any experience in the military when he was too young
for Viet Nam when Bush was a disserter.
