Bush and Cheney won't be campaigning together? (Security concerns)

Norah O'Donnell just reported (MSNBC) that Bush and Cheney won't be campaigning together "much" because of security concerns.

Cowards. Wimps.

And they obviously have little NO faith in Constitutional Succession.

1. Real Reasons: Don't Want to Associate Bush With Cheney Because

1. People Don't Like Cheney.

2. Bush may dump Cheney, and if they show up together too much, it just highlights that they were a team and now they are not.

It is also worth noting that they had to testify (well not under oath) to the 9/11 Commission TOGETHER but cannot summon the courage to appear together in public.

will replace him on the ticket. Any guesses? I think it might be McCain - everyone thinks that he's so honorable and upright, they keep forgetting he's a Republican to the bone.

regardless of how honorable and upright he is or is not, he's still very ambitious and if he is vice president for a second Bush term, he will be the logical choice to be the Republican nominee in 2008, so he could get drawn into this year's ticket after all

8. The Why

a couple reasons --

as someone already mentioned, people simply don't like Cheney ... and now that Edwards is on the Democratic ticket, the idea of a sunny optimistic Edwards smiling and waving with the cute kids hanging on to him contrasting with a snarling and secretive Cheney can't make Rove and Gillespie very comfortable

also, it's yet to be seen how high up the Plame investigation may go, but it seems there are whispers that some of it may land squarely in the office of the vice president, so the Republicans have to keep some distance between Bush and Cheney to limit the fallout that hits the golden boy, and also keep open the option of making a switch on the ticket before the convention

9. "security" concerns

didn't keep Clinton and Gore from campaigning together in 1996 when they were the incumbent president and vice president. They just know that the contrast with our ticket wouldn't be good.
