If Hill thinks she can win the GE, why won't she run as an Independent? |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 11:22 PM by stevietheman
After all, she's not getting the Democratic nomination, and there's no way she can steal it without crashing the Democratic Party.
Note: I'm not advocating her run as an Independent, but since she really is in this for herself (obviously), this would seem to be the best choice for her.
Run, Hillary, Run -- but accept the Democrats' choice Barack Obama and move on please.

Superdelegates are there to save the party from a candidate who fades at the end and can't win. Even the "announced" ones can switch.

22. That's the argument, but its "not happening" |
|
Its been around for long enough and infallibly predicted for long enough, but the odds keep getting longer. So "decreasingly" fits, rather than "increasingly".
All the predictions of dire disaster have failed to move the SD's, and more importantly have failed to move the voters. Without something new to turn the tide, HRC's chances fade. (Wright giving a speech is not "something new". If the endlessly repeated sound-bytes didn't hurt Obama, a fine interview and a brilliant speech won't either).

10. Please... when she was 17, in 1964; in college, her values changed |
|
and she's been a Dem ever since. A lot of people got politicized (and moved away from their parents' values) in the late '60s. Grew their hair long, too!

Superdelegates exist to rescue the party from a candidate who's tanking despite early wins. The system was invented after the George McGovern debacle.

14. excuse me but the tide is turning against obama in the black |
|
community. One of the reasons is simple. the preacher wright has come across as being the voice of the black churches in america and many, many blacks are upset they are being labled right along with wright and his preaching of hate and intolerance.
When obama is defeated for the nomination there will not be a riot as al sharton and doug wilder predicts it will be. What sane person would say there will be riots? Maybe Al and Jesse need to find how why it is that obama has distanced hisself from both of them?
Once HRC is the nomination there will be much healing to do but it will not be as messy as you obama folks say it will be. All the haters in the obama camp will be seen for what they realy were and that is players who enjoy stirring up crap i e race baiting the clintons and blaming it on them...Many blacks are now seeing this is true, and once HRC is the nominee and she calls together all black leaders and latino leaders and white leaders there will be a united party.....
So, to you haters, there will be no riots......

The only way that Hillary wins is by stealing the nomination.. And then she doesn't win, cause no one will vote for her in the GE.... I would stay home and so would many others... No way she wins...

29. Earth to BenDavid ~ we are not turning anywhere against Obama |
|
We are turning dramatically against the HILLBILLdirty tricks and racist stunts to be President at any cost.
I am African American and all that I have heard is how easy it will be not to vote for HillBill IF they are selected.
Everyone that I have talked to says they will vote for others in various races on the ticket but no HillBill.
So, start gathering all the votes that you need in other places but they will not get African American support.

her really good buddie, "John McCain has experience, I have experience..."
I have never heard a Democratic candidate keep up the love fest with a Republican in the heat of the battle while working to destroy their own party.
She is a closet Republican and I got it from "day one."
End of discussion.

|
because there will be so many Democrats against her and so many African Americans against her... It ain't happening... So you better get behind Barack if you want a true Democrat in the White House, or say hello to President McCain.... There is no way in hell Hillary can win fairly, and she is not going to win by cheating.
