Rupert Murdoch (aka Satan) has given money to John Kerry in the past |
|
Make of this what you will, but this link shows that the creator of Fox News Channel has donated to John Kerry in the past. I'm quite confused by this and not sure what to make of it myself. http://www.newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?last=Murdoch&first=Rupert

1. It means that Rupert Murdoch has given money to Kerry in the past... |
|
for more details on this you'd probably need to consult with Mr Murdoch. It doesn't really have too much to do with John Kerry.

in bed together. I just thought it was an interesting political oddity that other DUers might find equally interesting. Almost a Nelson 'haha' to Murdoch now that Kerry stands right against what his news empire stands for.

4. Carl Lindner (Chiquita Brands) |
|
in Cincinnati, gives both to Democrats and Republicans. He gives about half as much to Democrats as he does to Republicans -- I'd suspect this is probably true for Murdoch, as well.
I've imputed two motivations to this, with Lindner: it greases the wheels in case the Democrats win, by fostering good will, and he likes to watch the grudge matches so much, he gives money to both sides.
It's a little bit CYA and a little bit spectator sports love thang.
Just my opinion, of course, but it sure seems to hold up with Lindner, and I see no reason Murdoch's motivations wouldn't be the same.
