Lack of woman/minority on Dem ticket
Sorry if this has been discussed at length, but I can help but notice the Repubs trying to backhandedly accuse Dems of being prejudiced. On Crossfire, Fucker Carlson asked if there were no qualified minorities or women for the job, calling Kerry and Edwards a couple of rich white men, when it's obvious that they're running two rich white men themselves. Does this mean the Repubs are just conceding all minority/women's issues to the Democrats, thereby making it obvious that they don't give a shit?

1. Fucker Carlson should look on the Repub. ticket
They have two fat bald men running; and the only woman in the cabinet was Ms. Rice.

See, at least Dems. had a few minority and a woman presidental candidates.

2. but what is the republican ticket of Bush and Cheney?
But if Cheney were forced off we would be in some trouble if Powell or Rice or even Elizabeth Dole were selected to run with Bush.

5. Professional women and most others will NOT support these women
Edited on Thu Jul-08-04 10:51 AM by spooky3
E. Dole is an embarrassment. She is ultra-conservative, and thus her positions on most issues are diametrically opposed to the views of most women (especially single women). She has not earned most of the positions she's held through competence. She will appeal only to the same people who now support Bush. Rice might be viewed more sympathetically but she is not perceived as competent or truthful by people who would not otherwise vote for Bush. Most women are not sexist enough to support a woman merely because of her gender.

7. Liddy Dole just got through slamming John Edwards for not being
ready to take over as president. She cited his lack of experience.
