The Only People Throwing Wright Under the Bus, Are The Corporate Media.
They only did it to hurt a Democratic Candidate of which they didn't approve of. I believe they've have been whittling down the candidates in order of their preference, by either ignoring them during debates, demeaning them over trivial issues and just not giving anything close to equal time. I believe at this point Obama is next in line. These are the same people that brought us Bush and I don't believe we should reward them anymore.

If Obama disagrees with Wright's political or religious opinion, that's not throwing anyone under the bus, that's freedom of speech and or thought.

If the corporate media monopoly decide to smear Wright over his words because his words have truth which hit a little too close to home for them, while ignoring his lifetime of deeds, that's throwing someone under the bus and it isn't just Wright they're tossing. When they abandon their responsibility to any form of just journalism without even a pretense of integrity or fair play in order to smear a political leader, they're throwing all the American People under the bus, can anyone else smell the oil leaking?

1. Rec'd with thanks, Uncle Joe. You're right; the corp. media
have an agenda from where I'm sitting, and that is to get Clinton elected so she can do battle with McCain and hopefully (in their eyes) lose. Hannity, Limbaugh, etc., ad nauseum, are all reading off that same page, as are the cable m$m's. It's very transparent to me.
And yes, I have the bumps from hitting the pavement after being thrown overboard, and it's not sitting well with me. :grr:

2. Thanks, babylonsister, this feels like groundhog day to me, one would
think after nearly eight years of disastrous rule by Cheney/Bush, the corporate media would learn something, but frankly I think they just don't give a damn about the American People as whole anymore.

6. I still don't know what he said in the NAACP speech that anybody
could label objectionable. In my estimation, he hit a homerun.

7. I think it was the press club speech that people, including Obama,
have taken issue with. Of course, he dissed the press, so that might have had a lot to do with it.

9. Obama and Wright
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 05:52 PM by satireV
Uh? It was Rev Wright who went on the airwaves. It was HIS choice to spew hatred at his protege who he claims betrayed his mentor. Wright wasn't forced onto TeeVee and tortured to say the things he said about Obama.

Obama and Wright are fighting like two high schoolers about who's dick is bigger.

I hope someone becomes their cock blocker soon before they explode.

10. Wright was the subject of character assassination by the corporate media,
maybe you would suggest curling up in the fetal position and whimpering your self to sleep under such an assault.

Wright defended him self and he never spewed hatred toward Obama.

You know this but you would rather wallow in Jr. High terms for political discourse.

11. MSM also wanted to push this nominaition race as long as they can
Gets them great ratings. Gotta sell the soap as they say. And its also great sport for the pundits. You can see them salivating - especially Tweety. Their secret wish was this going all the way to the convention. Imagine how many viewers would tune in! The cable nets especially, they have a lot of hours to fill. They need feed for the beast!

14. I agree in that they did what they could to keep it close,
but I believe feeding the beast was only part of their motivation. I believe they had their list of preferred candidates in order long before the Primaries began and the only thing throwing a wrench in their works was Super Tuesday not quite going the way they wanted.

13. K & R for insight
There are a lot of 'power plays' going on this week, and I think relatively few people are seeing them clearly. He's given the wolfpack the meat they were howling for, while also warning them that that's all they're going to get.

Meantime, welcome to the new narrative:
