(daily show), NPR ("wait, wait, don't tell me), PRI ("this american life"), Air America Radio (any show)

but I'll listen to the other side on the radio whenever I have to drive aggressively (usually in Boston) 'cause it angers me so. . .

19. CBS has the least well-informed viewers of ABC, NBC and CBS.
Remember that study about a year ago?

Fox had most uninfored overall. NPR had most well-informed. Of the big three, ABC beat out CBS and NBC.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Unlike the BBC, they are close enough to the U.S. to have a better feel for what actually goes on in the states, a free enough media to report everything objectively, and a tendency to not want to do what the current administration demands that it do.

You can pick up the broadcasts on shortwave all over the U.S. and if you are within 500 miles of the border, you can pick up the broadcasts on A.M. radio all night long. The A.M. stations at the CBC do a lot more talk show type ptograms about the U.S. tham Radio Canada International. In FLorida, I can pick up A.M. broadcasts out of Toronto, Newfoundland, and Quebec but can oly pick up the french broadcasts from Montreal every night.

25. Not News persay...
but C-SPAN.

I sit there all day watching boring House and Senate floor debates but at least I know it's not censored or lying to me. I don't trust any other network to get it correct (I'd say right, but all of them seem to do that).

26. None of the above
That said I keep CNN on in the background most days, unless they go nutso. I watch CSpan Washington Journal every morning, and lately stream Air America while either is on. I refuse to even watch Fox - I made an exception for the primary debates. If CNN goes beserk, I switch over to MSNBC to see what they are doing. I watch Hardball occassionally.

27. Stopped watching all TV News
It's better this way. Much of it is nonsense and whoring for Bush. There isn't much objective coverage anymore.

I will give CBS some credit for the way they gave time to Richard Clarke and some others, as well as their footage on Abu Ghraib. That did take some guts.

28. You should have said rank them in order of how much you dislike them.
OK, here's my take.

There are some good shows and hosts on all networks, with the exception of FOX, of course.

Most of them basically are biased in their news coverage and focused on presenting a corporate point of view. All are focused on ratings of course, which leads to overcoverage of non-issues like Michael Jackson or Laci Peterson. I have nothing against doing the news in an entertaining matter--Keith Olberman's show is a good example of how to do news in an entertaining manner and still keep it hard hitting and relevant.
