I agree with Margaret Carlson-Today was Obama's "New Hampshire moment." |
|
More than a couple people who watched Obama during his press conference today said this is the first time they saw him show real emotion. He seemed genuinely angry and upset, yet was still in control. He may get sympathy from women who feel he was betrayed by this guy. And at the same time he did what had to be done. I agree.

loser. What does that make her except a shrill voice calling out of the wilderness.. Vote for me I am inevitable.
She is losing to a political newcomer, who has out raised her in money, (mostly small sums, leads in delegates, has cut her lead in super delegates to about 20, has more primary votes, (even if you include Florida, can't include Michigan because he wasn't on the ballot. It is called math, she can't win. Get over it

I had two surgeries in Dec. 2007. I am back to full speed unless I get real tired. I administered state tests in school today. I would rather have a root canal without pain medication. It made for a long day.

had to do in his lifetime.... Anybody that watched his presser could see the emotion below the surface on his face and I really think that he was very close to breaking up over it. Hey, he loved this man like the father that he didn't grow up with and it hurt him deeply to be forced to do this.

15. The depth of emotion was shown, to be a leader you must do what |
|
must be done whether you wish to or not to friend or foe.
He did what must be done so that his own belief system shines not that of another whether he be friend or foe. It is just that simple, yet not so easy to act upon. Who can say that they have not had these moments in life where principles drove your decision over emotions. A see a President in the making of this decision and I hope others do as well.

43. Seeing these clips from Obama's press conference, I kept thinking of Abraham Lincoln. |
|
Lincoln never showed anger or rage. He was often sad and unhappy about the fact that he had to face a Civil War in his presidency. Lincoln is revered as one of the best, if not THE best, president of our entire history.
Why can't we have a president who confronts the reality of a situation, as Lincoln did, with gravity and concern?

It's NOT Over no matter how you choose to SPIN this.. No one believes that after Obama and Wright having been together for 20 yrs, didn't know or agree with each other's philosophies. The two of them are/were in FULL agreement. Obama's PA speech will be compared word for word to todays speech and the anomalies will surface like a drowned corpse in the water begging more questions looking for answers.

Thats is exactly what will be questioned.. by scholars and people who care about the authenticity of a man who can't seem to make up his mind while seeking the seat of power of the US Government. Not everyone is looking for a plausible excuse to cover up Obama's unstable behavior.

and I don't like comparing Obama to hilary in any way shape or form but I see your point, jenmito.
hilary was all about herself in New Hampshire and Obama is having to let go of someone whom he thought was a friend..on an intense national stage.
But, we all know that mediatypes are notoriously lazy and have to have "comparisons".
This wouldn't be happening if the media would be examining the issues instead of tabloid style tv a la the abc debates.
