That's right. The Kerry campaign proved to me , via their choice of Edwards, that they care about winning. I can work with this.
I joined the California campaign here in Ventura County. It was a shotgun wedding. :)
As a Democratic steering committee member,anti-war activist and progressive member of DFA , I'm going to be quite vocal about my problems with Kerry's war plans, and corporate coddling, but winning this thing means everything.
Of course, I still have my DLC membership card, haven't burned that yet. But I'm sorely tempted.

the DLC meets are more social, and there's some good networking going on. But there's a large sentiment that the beltway guys are out of touch with the real goals of responsible capitalism.

Sidestepping some of the wedge issues will annoy the fringe--hey, it annoys me--but the fact that they're looking at this in a level-headed way to outmaneuver these thugs and take them down give me lots of hope.
