Do you think Cheney will end up being Shrub's running mate?
What's this talk ( http://www.pollingreport.com see front page graphic) , about Bush possibly running with Powell or McCain , who are currently polling ahead of Kerry/Edwards? Any truth to it? Why even have those polls up on a site as big as polling report .com if Cheney wasn't in some really deep sh*t. Would a Cheney indictment help or hurt the dems in election 2004?

1. yeah the repubs would find it convenient if ol crashcart had the
"big one" soon. They'd suck all the air out of the news and could get him off the ticket

I have heard of some Repugs in the party talking that way, but Bush won't dump him I don't think

5. McCain said he wouldn't accept the VP offer from either party.

If Cheney should suddenly decide that his heart isn't in it, would Powell step up? I don't think he would. Bush might have to go fishing. Has Condi ruined her credibility by spouting the party line? I think she has. There is Rummy, but he's no vote getter. He would help to lose the Military vote. How about KKKarl Rove? Not exactly voted most honorable.

Bush could fish in the Senate. He could catch a Northern Snake Head from Virginia, George Allen. This whiffle headed GOP loyalist is probably the closest answer they have to John Edwards. He has a young family, clear skin, straight teeth, a full head of hair and a perpetual smile. Unlike Edwards, he was not elected to the senate until 2000 after serving 4 years as Virginia's Governor. He is the son of an NFL football coach and may have cashed in on name recognition like Bush.
I would like to see him defeated in his 2006 bid for reelection and never seek elective office again.

6. I think Bush will do whatever it takes to get reelected
And if that means throwing Cheney to the wolves, you can count on it.

7. It would not surprise me in the least to see Dick "Dick" Cheney...
...step aside, citing health issues. As to who would take his place, I am not sure. It would not surprise me if Powell was tapped to take over. Speaking as someone from the "racist" South, issues regarding his skin color will be trumped by his military service, even with the marks on his record that are not exactly what you would call stellar.
