Another big thumbs-up-I love America |
|
My wife and I rode down the freeway for about two-hundred miles today, and for about the tenth time in a month, I got a honk and a "thumbs-up" signal from another dirve on the road.
My wife asked, "What was that for?" I can only conclude, as I told my wife, that it was for the Veterans for Kerry sticker in my pickup window (the only other sticker is my DU placard...)
We were actually counting today, and Kerry signage outnumbered * signage by about 10:1. While I live in a liberal area (Western Washington), I still think this is astounding.
Can it be that we will win this election because people on the ground have awakened to the reality of *? I sure hope so......

2. Something similar in TN |
|
I live in E. TN which is traditionally quite conservative. I haven't noticed a lot of Presidential bumper stickers yet, but those for Kerry seem to be far more frequent that those for Bush. Cheers?

what the thumbs up is for.
In our very Repug area, any Kerry or other Democrat stickers we see get a happy double honk from us and an enthusiastic thumbs up.
Some of the folks seem confused at first, but after a little while, they figure it out and give us a thumbs up back.
The average down here is a little more Kerry than Bush, but we still do see those Bush/Cheneys, unfortunately. We just try to get in front of them so they are forced to look at ours. :-)
