What Does Tom DeLay And Ralph Nad(i)r Have In Common? |
|
They both have the annoying habit of calling the Democratic party the Democrat party....
Their rationale is the Democratic party is not democratic...
What a couple of knuckleheads....

1. How democratic the Democratic party is... |
|
...is of course debatable. But there's no denying that the Democratic party has a LOT of the blame for what's going on here. They didn't fight hard enough after the last "selection", they overwhelmingly supported the Patriot Act and the war... the last time I saw them show some real backbone was when the Texas Dems left the state to stop redistricting, and even then after a while one defected and they all came back and we got Republican-approved redistricting. And they were only willing to go to that length to save their own jobs!
You're fooling yourselves if you think there's THAT much difference between the two parties.

2. I agree. I have never gotten over the cowardice of the democrats |
|
immediately after the 2000 election. It's one of the reasons I pay very little attention to Gore. They rolled over and sold us up the river. But at the same time there have been those who have tried to make up for it (i.e. Ted Kennedy, Waxman, etc.). But mostly they've just let the republicans run right over them.
Now that we have two candidates that are willing to fight back, let's hope that some of these other cowards grow backbones. And it wouldn't hurt to get rid of some of them, like Ben Nelson from here. He's a republican in democrat's clothing.

I really don't know what you wanted the Dems to do after the Supreme Court decision...
Outside of an armed insurrection I really don't see how you could have prevented Chimpy from taking office...
What part of that do people not understand?

5. They should have done more BEFORE the Supreme Court got involved. |
|
Many, many times people have posted the picture of the 'demonstrators' who gave the republicans the lame ass excuse as to why they couldn't continue to recount the votes in Florida. (Remember, they were afraid for their lives.) And was plain as day that these 'demonstrators' included people who worked directly for KKKarl Rove, Jeb Bush, and the republican party. That was obvious proof of a deliberate conspiracy to prevent an accurate accounting of the votes in Florida. Rather than just lie down in defeat, the democrats should have started screaming their heads off. Instead they meekly allowed the republicans get away with that crime, they let the election be decided by a court who was packed with republican appointees without putting up a fight for the illegitimacy of the process. They should have hit back, and hit back hard demanding that these people be prosecuted for subverting the electorial process and preventing an actual recount of all the votes.
