I really have to admire Lynn Cheney

anyone that can go on a Sunday talk show and lie, twist, and change the subject as efficiently as she just did with Wolfie is a real work. LC is very, very good at what she does.

What got me was at the end, she said Dick was more apt to have told Lehey "oh, put a sock in it" rather than the "go fuck yourself". And the way she completely took advantage of the extreme differences in the meaning of the word "fuck" when Dick's statement to Leahey was compared to Kerry saying in Rolling Stone that Bush fucked up Iraq was text book.

This lady's good.

She is as snarly as her husband! After refusing to answer on the "defense of marriage" amendment, "I already answered that question, Wolf!!"

On D'Amato suggesting Cheney shouldn't be on the ticket, she hardly let Wolf get through introducing the topic. Then she sneered, "Remind me, who is D'Amato, again?" Obviously she knew full well who he is, as she later said "Well he said some nice things, too," but asking who someone is says "He's a little person, and I'm important."

I'd say no, she couldn't be any more of a bitch.

3. Good like = a TV Dinner that's been sitting in the freezer

for 5 years. It has a funny smell, and there's a thin layer of white on the dinner when you open it up.

As far as her living with Cheney the Chump for 50-odd years; yeah I guess I have to give her credit for doing it.

One of the funniest things I read here at the DU was when someone described Lynne Cheney: "she always looks like she just ate a bowl of black scorpions".

Now as far as her writing skills are concerned, she sucks. She probably thought she's a world class writer, with the likes of Shakespeare, or at least Mark Twain. I've read some excerpts of her novel, 'Sisters', and it blows. I noticed the price too, $2.50. Says a lot about her.

I'll never forget her on the morning shows promoting that crap-fest. She was snickering (yes - snickering) about the dumb villian of her book who was, of course, a democrat. For being the "brains" of her marriage, she sure was short on social skills.

Okay, Wolfie's an enabler, and we know that, but why do the Ed Gillespies of the world get away with this? The standard tactic is that they make it theoretical with a big qualifier "that's not the kind of thing he'd say...", or "that's not in keeping..." or whatever.

We KNOW what he said: he said "go fuck yourself", and he said it on the floor of the Senate, out of session, at a photo session for posterity.

The fact is not in dispute: he said that. How consistently lame can we be? At all moments, this should be shot down; there are numerous witnesses and it was unquestionable. The issue is whether that's okay, and why they deliberately deny and deflect that which is fact.
