Blitzer should have asked Lynn Cheney about her daughter
Edited on Sun Jul-11-04 03:23 PM by dolstein
Just imagine if Blitzer had asked the following question to Lynn Cheney:

As the mother of a lesbian, how do you feel about the president's efforts to amend the constitution in order to ensure that gay people will never have the opportunity to get married?

Serious, if the Republicans are going to campaign on values, shouldn't it be perfectly fair the question the values of the people who are willing to sell out their own DAUGHTER just to score some political points?

I thought it was pretty obvious that Blitzer wanted to ask this question, but instead he avoided the personal angle. A real journalist wouldn't have pulled his punches like that.

1. The GOP base wants to know
if you believe your daughter will burn in hell. Do you condemn her as much as those 'good Xtians' do? Would have made for an interesting answer.
