Even if she doesn't I would doubt
she'd show up at the GOP convention seeing that her son has spoken at the Democratic one. I am sure some in the GOP would have wanted her to be there, even if she didn't speak--so they could show her off. I don't see that happening now.

9. This is how the Repugs will spin this
They'll talk about how Ron and his father weren't "Close." They'll do endless interviews with Michael. And if that doesn't work they'll slip in that he's really a liberal.

This is terrific. Ron is an awesome speaker. I hope lots of Republicans tune in just to hear him speak and come away KErry supporters.

13. Beloved ex-presidents son and namesake
versus turncoat, traiterous mealy-mouthed southern senator? I'd say Ron comes out on top of that trade-off...

14. Padraig, my friend, help me out..
Do you know of a good site that explains what Stem Research is and both sides of the issues/arguments for each side?

I saw a really good explanation of the issue on a Washington Journal awhile back but I couldn't even think of when that was.

I use these resources BTW to thwart off Freepers' arguments, so the help goes a long way.

18. mixed up feelings
I was not a fan of RR Sr so it doesn't matter much to me that this guy is related to him. I guess that if a person if trying to get by in politics on their name, then he has THE name to have.

Do you think RWers will tune in to see him? I have no idea and no opinion of how they feel about him...personally I would rather have DEMOCRATS speak at the convention, unless he is going to pull in a bunch of new people. I have no idea if it will work or not. Certainly the name RR is huge, but it is not a name that most Democrats are fond of.

And, let's remember, Ronnie's father started out as an FDR-Democrat.
