I swear when introducing Jenna to the crowd, he says that he is sorry that Laura could not be there, but "interstead, I have brought my great daughter, Jenna."

INTERSTEAD!?! For my first twenty-three years, I always thought it was instead. Oh well!

How can anyone vote for someone who butchers the English language like Bush does?

1. Unfortunately there's the "hey he's an average joe like me mentality"
Yup, he's an average joe who's never worked a day in his life.

2. I'm an Average Joe, yet I can speak English. Unlike Bush, I read 3-5
newspapers EVERY DAY. This clown always reminds me of some cheeseball
televangelist.

6. But remember how millions in Repuke money can spin it...
If Kerry were to criticize Bush for making stupid mistakes in his speech, he would be seen as eliteist, like they are already trying to do. Theresa's remarks on 60 minutes tonight were great, regarding the Repuke criticism that they are millionaires. What exactly are Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld?

4. He meant to say
In her stead. It just came out as all one word.

5. Bush is not stupid.
We need to stop saying that. He's ignorant and evil, to be sure, but he is intelligent in many malevolent ways.

7. That's intersteading, jmparks02 -- welcome to DU!
Guess after all of the Kerry/Edwards family photos, Bush is ordering out his reluctant daughters --

8. "In her stead"?
Though Bush may actually think it's "interstead."
