''Do not fall into the easy trap of mourning the loss of U.S. lives"
So says John Moody, a Fox News executive in one of his daily memos to the "journalists" at FNC. Heck of a way to "support the troops"?!

Another memo outlines the approach to covering the United States military's siege on Falluja: ''It won't be long before some people start to decry the use of 'excessive force,''' it says. ''We won't be among that group.'' A third, on the 9/11 Commission, is equally firm: ''The fact that former Clinton and both former and current Bush administration officials are testifying gives it a certain tension, but this is not 'what did he know and when did he know it' stuff,'' it cautions. ''Do not turn this into Watergate.''

The only thing consistent in these people's positions is the underlying dollar. Sounds like this documentary has the goods on Fox. Maybe it can build on the hole opened up by F911. This kind of media must be exposed.

And btw, notice how during Clinton's term everything was "-gate" and now that suffix is never used (in major media).

1. Speaking of holes
This directive betrays the giant hole in Fox's corporate soul and conscience. The easy trap of mourning the loss of U.S. lives?? Damn their black hearts!! May they be forever ashamed!

That's very true! The only place I've seen the terms "Plamegate" etc. is at DU. If the media were to label any Bush controversies this way, all hell would break loose. But with Clinton, it was tagged onto EVERYTHING.

3. I saw no way to fight Fox, but this force of people working together...
has done it. There really is a gigantic effort underway to save this country. If not for the "mainstream media," Bush would be polling only his 30% wing-nut base, and the great majority of Americans more than ready to free themselves from the chokehold of the Right.
