"Rich people, God bless us. We deserve all the opportunities to make sure our country and our....
blessings continue to the next generation."

If you can't post the whole quote, then you are deliberately lying by omission, and you only demonstrate that you must be severely intellectually impaired to assume that other DUers aren't smart enough to KNOW the real quotation.

The only person you're fooling by lying like this is yourself and the other Obama supporters who WISH the abbreviated quotation were true. It's not.

From the transcript:

CLINTON: No, I'm not waffling. I'm saying I'm not going to impose additional burdens on middle-class families. And there are a lot of people...

O'REILLY: But I'm not a middle-class family. I'm a rich guy.

CLINTON: Well, and you know what? Rich people, God bless us. We deserve all the opportunities...

O'REILLY: All right.

CLINTON: ...to make sure our country and our blessings continue to the next generation.

I haven't been around today, but I'm positive that others have posted the correct quotation. People who wish to keep posting half the quotation and to attribute an incorrect meaning to it are only doing so to aggitate others. And that, my Obama-supporting friends, is nothing more than disruption of this forum.

2. which story areyou defending?
the one where shes taken out of context or the official hillary campaign answer that she said "blessed"?
see they are claiming "blessed" at your coven and you must have missed the memo

its the third time ive noticed you out of touch with the official hillary campaign lying points

must be hard to keep up with the constantly changing stories and ethical shifts
but you will get to rest soon

Well, it explains so much, with her white southern upbringing

innuendoes and frog shit.

I find you disingenuous and should go back to the lounge where you were popular
and found supporters.

3. She is talking about her class, the upper class, not us the working class
You just do not get it, she never speaks directly to the middle class, it is always what she is going to do for her people. It is always what they will do, Obama speaks of what we will do together, we are a big part of the action to be taken, we the people he speaks to will do what must be done, work together, build together, always together, never what I will do for you without your input or consent.

That is the difference between these two candidates, in his world we are an active participate not a controlled stupid people who know nothing so mommy will take care of us. i do not want mommy HRC taking care of me, I want to take care of myself and my community and help the White House go in the direct this country needs so please, please come to understand the difference between these candidates.

Just get it for once.

4. She was talking about
PROTECTING the middle class by raising taxes on rich people like herself and Bill O'Reilly.

Any other spin on it is just another Obama-fan lie.

18. "Her" class who is responsible to use their wealth to help the country
She uses first person to counterract the personal tone Dildo injected "But I am rich" - and turns the tables on him - telling him that paying taxes is an opportunity to help his country - and that he deserves it...

6. Wolfson said she said "God blessed us"
Regardless, the partial quote, the full quote, the cover up of the quote - none of it sounds good. I actually don't think she meant it the way it came out - but you know what, after all the lies the Clinton campaign has told, welp, karma's a bitch.

8. She may have. It doesn't change the meaning...
that she thinks that upper income people should pay more taxes to take the burden off the middle class.

7. I posted the correct quote, Maddy, but didn't bother to stick
around and read replies, if any. I am a little tired of posting truths that are immediately distorted. Just wanted to let you know that I did try. You're a great DUer and when you post, people listen. Me, not so much; but, I did make the effort.

15. Thanks for the clarification....
but it does not make it any better.

CLINTON: "Well, and you know what? Rich people, God bless us. We deserve all the opportunities to make sure our country and our blessings continue to the next generation."

It is still a pompous thing to say and a bullshit statement.

17. No, it's not. It cleverly turns the tables on Dildo by saying: you have a responsibility
by calling it an opportunity she turns the tables on the RW "ME! ME! battle cry.
She tells them to use their wealth for the good of the country - seeems a pretty brilliant statement to me!

16. You didn't miss much today.
You know, just the usual. A few threads about Clinton's fascist church. A few threads about how she is personally suppressing the black vote. A few threads about her lesbian lovers.

I might have missed them, but I think there was most likely one about the Peter Paul case and another about how she tried to circumvent the constitution and keep Nixon from getting impeached. Then, of course, there were multiple fond recollections of Bill's appearance on Limbaugh.

Of course, you missed the ones about how she personally started the war in Iraq and how she plans to nuke Iran on day one.

Just another beautiful day in the neighborhood.

I'm going to bed now.

:hi:

21. Oh for Chris'sake. How many threads of this are needed on the Greatest Page?
What a stupid thing to argue about. She was obviously being ironic as a means to make fun of O'Reilly's "poor-me-I'm-rich" anti-tax crap.

And no, I don't support Hillary. I never have. But I call bullshit when I see it.

22. Perceptions are always going to play a role in interpreting what she said.
Me? I think she meant the next familial generation. You see, she blesses the rich, so when she says, "our blessings continue to the next generation," she means, to the next generation of the currently rich families. Let their blessings continue so they can pass on the wealth to their children.

Are you SURE you wanted to bring this to our attention?

25. I like the full quote better anyway. It fully reflects her elitist patronizing tone.
America isn't about Blessed rich people helping the poor people. The masses, in a democratic electorate, are supposed to hold the power and to select leaders who enact their will. Not just sit back and wait for benevolent rich people to take care of them. What a paternalistic bunch of republican crap she peddles.

26. "People in our income group should pay the same rate as they paid when I was president.

Clinton artfully wove those memories to connect with rural North Carolinians. He even managed to connect with low-income voters by acknowledging his own wealth, saying the tax burden should be spread out more fairly. He told a crowd at Lillington Town Hall: "People in our income group should pay the same rate as they paid when I was president."
