Poll question: Has Hillary ever had to change a tire? |
|
What is your best guess based on her lack of elitism?

1. As an Obama supporter - neither have I. |
|
I don't think that's a very fair one to equate to her. I've been driving for 18 years, and I've never had a flat. That's not saying that we've never had a car that got a flat - it just means that it's never happened while I was driving or in the car. Just my luck I guess, and I"m sure after posting this I'll get one tomorrow
But seriously, not one.

20. Factory installed, bald or hate to admit - Wal-mart |
|
I've driven on them all. I'm not sure what my DH put on his car a few years back though.
And honestly, it's just been my luck. I even had a cracked axle once - and didn't know until I went to smelly mart (this was like 12 years ago) to get them changed, because they were completely bald (84 cavelier or something like that). They guy said I was lucky to be alive.

3. Her motorcade car broke down the other day |
|
She pulled the engine out, disassembled it, and rebuilt it right there on I-70. After she was done she got out some folding chairs, cracked open a brewski and watched SportsCenter on her portable TV. Slowed down traffic a bit, but it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

11. The one time my tire went bad I made it to a gas station. |
|
The other time was in 2F on the Thruway. No way was I going to change it there. I knew a woman who lost her husband changing a tire on the busy highway. I waited for a tow truck.
This is just plain blather by the Obama supporters.

9. Air America was making fun of Hillary yesterday like she |
|
was a Queen. She has not had to do much in the way of making coffee, shopping, or changing tires. She was in law school, then she was a govenor's wife, then onto the White House as First Lady, and then a Senator.
If the average women didn't have to do mundane chores they'd be very happy. Men have it done for them all the time.

12. Almost certainly not. |
|
When she was coming along, it wasn't considered a job for a woman. It would be pretty cool if she had done that, I think. It's good for anyone to get his/her hands dirty on occasion.
But I've only done it twice in my life, and it would be hard to claim that it has made me a better person. I suppose it's just a possible indicator that I am not a complete elitist.

I've personally replaced the battery and spark plugs in my car. Even so, I am about as elitist as one can be and still self identify as a Socialist. I guess I just don't understand where this latest bash is coming from?
