I listened to a longer version of the clip with my head phones and the volume turned up. To me this is what I heard which may or not be true "*says poll number*, Those people are shitty(although it could also be shitting) How would you ...inaudible..."white"..inaudible).
In the the part precedeing that, carville notes that their poll numbers are UP in indiana(a supposedly red state), which makes what Kantor is saying now, seem more plausible in context (which may be by design of course). Since I can't personally hear the "n**ggers" and I don't know who he was referring too when he said "those people", I'd be more inclined to believe the explanation he's given today, when I look at it in terms of the situation that preceded it (which again doesn't PROVE that it's true ipso facto, just my personal opinion based upon what I've seen
