Obama Has Raised More Than $¼ Billion
According to: http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/index.asp

Sen. Barack Obama has raised more than a quarter of a billion dollars.

Now, tell me why he shouldn't be the Democratic nominee?

Our party could never dream of having a candidate who generates as much enthusaism and energy as Obama.

He has earned the nomination through hard work and huge support.

It's unbelieveable that we have a candidate who doesn't come from a silver spoon in mouth background, but who can generate this kind of money.

Obama will represent our party well in November and disassemble McSame.

I mean, good for Obama, but becoming president shouldn't require you raising a quarter of a billion dollars just to be in a primary.

We need to get money, especially corporate money, and religion, especially corporate religion, out of politics.

5. It used to be the GOP that judged its popularity by how much money it accumulated.
As a matter of fact, for decades and decades now, the ROOT of the problems with our nation and government is the obscene influence of money in the election process.

So Obama's folks can be proud of out-raising even the Republicans this time.

But is that anything to be proud of?

Personally, the dominance of money in ALL American campaigns distresss and disgusts me.

7. I think it is something to be proud of
especially since much of the money was raised from people donating pretty small amounts. People support Obama, lots of people, and his fundraising shows this.

8. Unfortunately in our political system..
you can't play if you don't pay. I am proud of Senator Obama's ability to raise that much money from people like me. I'm glad he has the support of so many people and those people are willing to fund his campaign, in any way they can.

11. Money isn't everything, but
There's a REASON people are donating like this and passionate about supporting Obama. He is a unique American leader who will lift up this country and bring us forward like no other President in recent memory.

Old politics is in its death throes.

14. And best yet he's become known AND he's not broke!!
He took a 16 year deficit of Nationwide publicity, and this is what he's built over 16 months.... it's a staggering achievement.
