little things to win the election - Cahill, Kerry Campaign Manager e mail:
Dear ,

This election will be decided by small actions taken by people just like you. That may sound hokey, but it's the truth. Reminding friends and family to vote, stuffing envelopes at a campaign office, going to a phone bank, knocking on some doors, even just putting up a yard sign -- it's these little things that are going to win this election.

That's why we've set a goal of signing up 100,000 new volunteers in one night at our convention parties on July 29. Host a convention party at your house or a public venue, watch John Kerry's nomination speech with your friends and neighbors, and help us reach our goal by signing up everyone who attends. The Democratic National Convention is a time for Kerry-Edwards supporters in every community to celebrate all that we've accomplished so far. But it's also a night to roll up our sleeves and get down to work for the following 96 days that will decide this election.

We're ready to put volunteers to work. We've got campaign offices and state directors across the country to coordinate the largest get-out-the-vote operation ever. Our organizers are in place to direct the door-knocking and phone-banking. All we need now is you.

Hosting a convention party is easy: open your home, invite your friends, talk a little about why you've volunteered, and ask your friends to sign up. If you want to do something bigger than a house party, consider holding your event at a public place like a restaurant or a meeting hall. (Note: to comply with federal election laws, venues or individuals may not pay for guests' food and drink.)

All these parties will be connected together on an exclusive conference call with John Edwards.

Join us and help make history!

Sincerely,

Mary Beth Cahill
Campaign Manager

P.S. If you want to attend a party rather than host one, click here to search events in your area:
