1. Diversion from Campaign
I wish the fuss would stop - this is about taking our country back in 2004. Hillary and all the Dems need to get on board. Nothing but nothing should divert us from this objective.

5. count me outraged
where did distancing yourself from the clintons get Al Gore in 2000? The most prominent female Dem with a large following. Why disrespect the lady and all she's done for the party?

10. Thats it in a nutshell
Tucker and Novak are devastated! Screw them. When they start voting Democratic, they'll have a say in our convention lineup (and that will be a very cold day in Hell)

21. Touche
I'm outraged at the outrage.
I'm sure Hillery wants whats best for the party not just herself.
I'd be mighty surprised if she doesn't have a statement to that affect in a day or so. What's desperately important now is unity. Bush gave us this election, now it's ours to lose or win.
So whats it gonna be?

13. those who claim Hillary wants the attention and wants to run in 2008
those who are outraged are the ones who would be saying hillary is trying to take attention away from kerry if she did speak. they are the ones who would be saying she wants kerry to lose in 04 so she can run in 08 if she did speak. they are the same fools who try to paint her as some selfish control freak who wants to take over.sadly there are some "democrats" who repeat it here also.

maybe she isn't some evil person. maybe she really does like the job she is doing and wants to help people as senator. maybe she really does want kerry and edwards to win. but some people don't WANT to believe it.

15. I like Hillary but honestly why does she deserve it?
More than any other female democrat? Especially ones who have been in congress longer. I'm not saying I would be against her having a speaking role, I just don't get why its any more of an outrage for her as a freshman senator to not have one than it is for say Diane Feinstein or Carol Mosley Braun or any other femal democrat to not have one.

16. From what I hear, Hillary isn't outraged
Bill asked to speak, Hillary didn't. She will be on stage with other women senators and they as a group chose one person to speak for them. The only outrage I am hearing is coming from the Republicans like Tucker Carlson.

17. Why should I be outraged?
Edited on Wed Jul-14-04 06:37 PM by saywhat
She's one of many waiting in line. Personally, I'd rather see Nancy Pelosi get a speaking role (does she have one?) at the convention. At least Pelosi voted AGAINST IWR.

and only a few prime-time slots to fit it all in.

23. Some stupid tool on Scarborough was.
Said that "clearly" the men in the Party were ganging up on Hillary and it would "cost" us in the swing states.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
How the guy was able to keep a straight face while spouting such ridiculous nonsense is beyond me.

24. I'm Outraged that there is Outrage Over the Outrageous Outrage
or maybe I'm outraged at the outrageous outrage.

Honestly, if I were to make a list of all the things I've been outraged about over the past four years, I'd shut down DU servers and this would be no where on the list.
