After reading the actual transcript, cranking speakers with headphones, and reading all the crap here, none of it adds up to him saying a slur. Why would he call Indiana people shit if they were winning there? And why would a man who apologises for a mild swear word (and is clearly conscious of the camera in doing so) then immediately say a racial slur? Does any of that really make any sense? No, the transcript makes sense, and matches the original audio.

After I first viewed it, I agreed with the Clinton people that he is saying something like "Those people are shitting... in the White House." It makes sense in the context of discussing how well Clinton was doing in traditionally "red" Indiana.

However, I'm not really sure about any of this when I consider the second part. The fact that he leans in, looking guilty, and makes a comment under his breath to Stephanopoulus, who does indeed look pretty uncomfortable makes me wonder. And while I don't know that anyone watching the video can say with 100-percent certainty what he whispers, "worthless white nigger" sounds closer to the words that I hear than any other explanation I've seen given.

at least to the movie reviewer who wrote the review that keeps getting posted here. I doubt he said it, personally, but people should listen and judge for themselves.

BUT,

1. that's got fuck all to do with Clinton as she didn't say it and
2. the very idea that he said the racial slur he was accused of saying is flat out nuts. people who hear it are hearing things.

It could turn out that it was done by someone who supports Obama. It could turn out to have done by someone who supports Clinton or McCain and hoped it would backfire on Obama. It could have been done by an apolitical asshole who wanted to see what they could get away with.
