My wife and I got our mail in ballots in Oregon today - Count two votes for Obama
Me and my wife are gladly voting for Obama and are excited. Today is the first day we've seen ads for Clinton, Obama has been on every other commercial for the last two weeks.

10. Ever see Bob Roberts, ericgtr?
With Tim Robbins, Anyhow, a supporter tells him "I wish I can vote for you a hundred times" and Bob says there is a way but is quickly cut off by an aide. I want to know the way. Brilliant moviemaking!

In my immediate family. I am so excited!!!

Did you see the Gordon Smith commercial where he attacks both Merkley and Novick? lol. Way to be the example of exactly what we want to change.

12. We are getting hammered with ads!
Yeah, Gordon is a hoser. Also, as much as I love Obama I do get a laugh at the irony whenever I see the one saying we need to turn our tv's off.

17. We haven't got ours yet but our entire family
is going Obama. That includes relatives from Portland to Ashland. I have yet to see a Hillary sign in southern Oregon and the Medford Mail tribune endorsed Obama today.

"Obama is Democrats' best choice
Clinton represents the past in an election that ought to be about America's future"

http://www.mailtribune.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080502/OPINION/805020325/-1/OPINION02

Any doubts about Oregon? I don't think so.

27. We got ours today...
Two more votes for Obama. I haven't seen any Hillary signs in the Portland metro area (including the suburbs). I drive extensively for work and have been keeping an eye out. I've seen plenty for Obama, though.

Obama's are on all day, including primetime, several times per hour.

18. Congratulations!
One of these days, Washington will move to all-mail elections. Right now, all the counties but one (King - which is Seattle's county for those that don't know) are completely vote-by-mail. Needless to say, Republicans are loathe to let us move to postal ballots. Wonder why that is... :)

19. Is it my imagination- or are these out earlier than usual?
Also, I find it odd that so many campaigns wait until the last minute to flood the airwaves with ads.

My guess is that most folks have already sent their ballots in by the time they've paid the corporate media for their airtime.

Edited on Sat May-03-08 02:07 AM by Roxy66
I live in Ontario, Or...just about as far east as you can go without hitting Boise. By the way, I went to that Obama rally in Boise....and it was amazing. I hope he has the for thought to put some advertising in the Boise market for Eastern Oregon. Thats the only media that is available for the entire Eastern side of the state. We held our first Democratic Party meeting for Malheur County last week and there was not one Hillary supporter there....so don't assume that the hillbilly side of Oregon will automatically go for her.

We really have zero organization..... They need to tap the Boise media market...thats the only media that Eastern Oregon gets. We can't even get the Oregonian anymore.

36. Thanks for the vibes it worked! I am once again gainfully employed
at least for a couple of months on a new contract. However, I would rather just take a couple of months off and slack like that guy in Office space. I even told them that in my interview, letting them know that I wasn't very interested and the next day they called me back and offered more money. If it wasn't for my wife I probably would have never went to begin with.

I imagine that you have to ask for a party ballot in advance.

37. It's a closed Primary so you can only vote your party
and the deadline for registration was last week. Obama's ads have been plugging the registration date, he did all the foot work for that and then Hillary just popped in last minute with her ads.
