Here's a thought: Bush/Miller '04.
I mean there's more than enough precedent, i.e., Kerry/McCain.
The questions:
1. Are the Bush puppet masters desperate enough to reach out to a DINO from the South?
2. Are the Bush puppet masters clever enough to think this far outside of the box to rescue a failed pResidency now doomed to defeat?
3. Is that prick, Miller, inclined to accept; my bet's yes. He's an angry, arrogant old bastard whose contempt for progressives is so well established that he just might do it out of spite.

2. Uh, there is and was NO Kerry/McCain. |
|
Zell Miller could not rescue anything.
Although he is certainly impeachment insurance, he would guarantee a Bush defeat so what good is that?

3. I was afraid of this... |

...when all the talk about the mythical Kerry/McCain "Unity Ticket" was happening. People here thought the idea was loopy, and would never happen. It still scares me. People will just look at the (D) after Miller's name, and think, "yup, he's a Democrat!" without considering that he isn't a real Democrat, and hasn't been one for a long time, if he ever was.
The only way to prevent it from happening, though, is to get that idea out there first: Zell Miller is no Democrat. Think of it as inoculation against the faux unity ticket.
Zell Miller is no Democrat. Zell Miller is no Democrat. Zell Miller is no Democrat.

Which would be pretty dumb for a man who claims he stopped drinking years ago.
I hope they do it! The late-night jokes alone would be worth it.

If they wanna replace Cheney (which they should, but hopefully won't), they wouldn't keep denying that they plan to for fear of "flip-flopping". If they did replace him, it'll be Powell or Giuliani. But he won't, Cheney is the ticket's backbone. JACK GERMOND!
