Ted Koppel's interview question in 2001 about what he had learned about John Adams and John Quincy Adams. Bush replied that he didn't know since he had just started reading the book! It amazed me that Bush could not come up with anything to say about the Adams' considering the historical significance of Bush being the only other Pres whose dad was also Pres.
