Do the math, it's over!
See for yourself what it will take for Hillary to score the nomination.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/29/delegate.counter/index.html
I tried to be extremely generous with her winning substantially (11 points!) in every contest(including North Carolina and Oregon!) since Guam and on. In such an unlikely scenario, she would still need more than 65% of the undecided superdelegates to jump on board and make her even with Obama's pre-existing lead.
Folks, it's just not going to happen! This is crazy!

1. That's why they (HRC people) went so negative lately
The only way they can win is to make him look so bad the supers can't support him. Hasn't worked yet, and I hope it won't. If scary black preacher is the best they can do, we're probably fine.

Oh yeah... there's always that SHOCKING Rezko development that's Just Around the Corner...

7. I guess the fact that you're descended from wagons explains a lot
about why you're so easily convinced by silly "delegate math" memes.

9. The REASON that FL vote was "thrown out" was that they broke the rules on EARLY VOTING
Edited on Sat May-03-08 07:16 PM by ShortnFiery
If you are truly "a paragon of fairness" as HRC claims to be, you can also relate to the fact that Obama had NO TIME to introduce himself to the electorate. REMEMBER: HRC needed to re-introduce herself, but in states where Obama has at least 3 weeks to campaign, WE ALL AGREE that he tightens the vote count considerably.

The delegates will be seated, in one way or another, before "the convention" but THE VOTE TOTALS will NOT be entered.

You know that the state democratic parties (FL and MI) OVERTLY flaunted the rules that they had agreed to follow? You also are aware by now that the DNC had repeatedly attempted to "help these democrats" FOLLOW THE RULES? They didn't listen because they believed that the primary would be over on Feb 4th.

The state democratic parties in FL and MI screwed their good people out of the popular vote. In only the most bizarro universe (not this one yet) could the vote totals be rationalized to count.

13. your journal article is not grounded in reality
clinton is not close to obama in the popular vote. and your claims of racism over pledged delegates is... pitiful. really. because Hillary wanted to win this by Super Tues. w/o giving a damn who voted for what in state primaries.

on the other thread, with the article from Slate, I have posted a rebuttal to the guys' (now dated) claims, too.

6. It was over in TX when she didn't make up any delegates
it just takes some time for the electrical impulses of the central nervous system to stop pulsating.

10. What is very important in that map is how strong Obama is in middle America and the south
Swing states or solid GOP states every one in 2000 and 2004. End.Of.Discussion.
