"If it feeds good, do it; if you've got a problem, blame somebody else."
The culture of America is changing from one that said, "if it feeds good, do it; and if you've got a problem, blame somebody else," Bush said, using language reminiscent of his recent campaign speeches.

White House lenient on Cheney obscenity

ANKARA (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush is not taking Vice President Dick Cheney to task for uttering an expletive to a Democratic opponent in the U.S. Senate.

Cheney said on Friday he had no regrets about what he said.

"I expressed myself rather forcefully, felt better after I had done it," Cheney told Fox News.

Whose fault for...

Abu Ghraib?

Everything else?

Blame the Navy for this one - Bush did.

"The 'Mission Accomplished' sign, of course, was put up by the members of the USS Abraham Lincoln, saying that their mission was accomplished. I know it was attributed somehow to some ingenious advance man from my staff—they weren't that ingenious, by the way."

—President Bush at his Oct. 28 press conference.

"It was the Navy, the people on board the ship who had the idea of this banner and made the suggestion, because they wanted to have a way to commemorate the fact that these sailors and the crew on board the ship had completed their mission, after a very lengthy deployment. … And they asked—they asked if we could help take care of the production of the banner. And we more than happy to do so."

—Presidential spokesman Scott McClellan at his Oct. 29 press briefing.

Oh, and the lousy economy?

Er, the one on the right.

9/11?

Either one works for me. In the end, does it really matter?

In September, after Cheney asserted that Iraq had been "the geographic base of the terrorists who have had us under assault now for many years, but most especially on 9/11," Bush acknowledged there was no evidence that Saddam's government was connected to those attacks.

But that doesn't mean Bush is responsible for making the connection! Uh, rather, he is a very responsible person and takes full responsibility for everything on his watch, but he wasn't to blame for, well, whatever you're asking about.

1. People who have known Bush...
... for a long time say he's never admitted a mistake, and is expert in deflecting criticism. There's nothing in his make-up to suggest that he can recognize that he's made a mistake. In his mind, he's faultless, so he feels entitled to lecture others about responsibility. More evidence of sociopathic behavior.

2. I don't know...
I personally think Evil Bert had something to do with our bad economy.

:silly:

Bush never takes responsibility for anything. His blame shifting makes all of this crap even worse.

4. "If it feeds good, do it"?
Yahoo was obviously quoting our fearless leader out of context. He was simply repeating an ancient aphorism about the "handling" of livestock  .
