7. Welcome, Rulergirl
I have a very important question to ask you.

I ask this of all new Dean people.

How far will you go for Dean?

Will you adobt the philosophy of NBD? Nobody But Dean? Will you reject all the corrupt Washington insiders, and the Clinton marrionettes, and war enablers?

Are you NBD?

4. I remember telling my brother and his wife about Dean
at Christmas 2002. They'd never even heard of him.

9. Lots of people switch before all is said and done.
The campaigning serves as a real vetting process when it comes to learning about various attitudes and policies.

Yep lots of people switch.

13. So you also switched from Kerry to Dean?
That's interesting, but it's not unusual I guess.

14. Yup. I was one of the first Kerry supporters here at DU.
I started supporting him around 2002, even wanted him over Gore.

10. Myself and another guy...
...got into a big "Dean Ra-Ra" discussion at a party last year about this time. We were SO thrilled to find someone else who knew who the doctor was. And we were talking about all the other topics we discuss on here, informed a roomful of people about Howard Dean. Seen him several times since, he's going to Iowa next week (I'm still trying to see if I can swing it). Indeed, what a difference a year makes (most of the people that were in that room at that party are now Dean supporters)...

15. It's been quite a year!
I remember when I met my first fellow Dean supporters in the real world. It was great. It wasn't long after that we started having meet-ups and it's been incredible ever since! I've met some great folks and learned a lot that I've been able to apply to my party building efforts.

And that was just for starters! Whoo-hoo '04!!!!! This oughta be big fun!

19. so true
If Dean gets the nomination, then on January 20, 2005, Dumbya will be taking the oath of office again.

What a difference a year makes.

20. If only Kucinich could get the nomination instead. Any single, strident,
vegan Representative would be a shoo in.
