The Constitution Party Candidate is a total nut
but he has one thing right.

"We wondered about what kind of an administration declares war on something so vague, so amorphous, and so undefined as Terrorism. We worry about such dangerous and sloppy thinking. Since terror is not an enemy, but the tactic of an enemy, we wonder how such a war could ever be won. How could such a war ever end? How do you defeat a tactic – especially when you practice the same tactic yourself?"

Of course other than that he is a nutter. Fortunately he's a nutter who could do Bush some serious damage. Read his acceptance speech http://www.constitutionparty.com/news.php?aid=107

2. What happened to Judge Moore ?
I thought he was thinking about running for the Consti Party nomination ??

Let's hope more of the true nutters jump the GOP ship and glom on
to this and the Libertarian platform.

4. Interesting platform...
you're right, he's a nutjob!

I like the Creationist part - that's adorable...and no abortion or rights for homosexuals, but no help from the govt. for health care or education or the environment.

Well. let's hope they give the Asshat in charge some trouble!

5. He is mostly a nutjob, but Bush is worse
He is clearly NOT a neo-con and doesn't buy into all that PNAC crap. He would downsize the military, and I like his pro-gun views. Otherwise he is a crank.

7. The Constitution party is very interesting.....
On Economic issues they're fairly traditionalist small government libertarian, with the exception that they support "fair trade" with some measure of tariffs instead of completely free trade. On Social issues, they're very authoritarian which I dislike a lot. I can agree with some portions of their platform, though I dislike a lot of it.

I'm very glad that they and the Libertarians don't embrace the pro-war agenda, so I hope they do relatively well in this election. Most honorable Republicans who are true to the traditional George Washington/John Quincy Adams anti-war philosophy (example: Pat Buchanan supporters who don't support the imperialist agenda) hopefully will find out about this guy and vote for him to ensure that Kerry wins.

If the Democratic Party had some strategic thinkers really trying to focus on a way to win, they'd come up with a plan to get a 5 way debate between Bush, Kerry, Nader, Peroutka, and Badnarik.

Bush has MUCH MORE to fear from the Constitution and Libertarian Party Candidates in a group debate than Kerry has to worry about Nader. Bush is so vulnerable from the traditional right on various issues (massive government spending, immigration, the war, Patriot Act, etc) that I think this is the best tactic for a Kerry victory in 2004 and the long term splintering of voters on the Right. Divide the Right and we can't lose.

9. :-P It worked for Gray Davis...
He funded far-right candidate Bill Simon in the GOP primaries (a candidate so pathetic that most people who voted against him likely didn't even realise that he had ultra-conservative politics.) so that he wouldn't have to face popular moderate Republican and former L.A. mayor Rick Riordan.
