Kerry-Edwards plan pre-convention tours
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5461167/

Democrats John Kerry and John Edwards will join their families Friday at Kerry’s birthplace in Aurora, Colo., starting a series of campaign events leading to the Massachusetts senator’s acceptance of his party’s presidential nomination six days later.

In events highlighting campaign themes, Kerry will travel from Colorado through several cities, wrapping up in Philadelphia on Wednesday — and finally Boston, site of the Democratic National Convention. Stops include Sioux City, Iowa; Columbus, Ohio; Cape Canaveral, Fla., and Norfolk, Va.

Edwards and his family will leave Colorado with a separate campaign itinerary, including appearances in Milwaukee and in North Carolina, where the vice presidential choice is the senior senator.

1. Yup. Even Colorado is in it.
Check this e-mail I got...

If you haven’t already heard, John Kerry and John Edwards will both be in Colorado this Friday, July 23, to kick off their cross-country tour to the Democratic National Convention!!

We’re waiting on word of a final time and location, but plan to come greet our Presidential ticket on Friday afternoon! Details on time, location, and ticketing will be broadcast and available at www.coloradodems.org as soon as they are available.

(I'll post an update when I get it in the Colorado state forum)

3. BTW - how do things look in VA? - I was talking to a student
in Pittsburgh who's going down to VA (William & Mary) for college and he was despairing that VA was hopeless for Kerry cause he wants to work for the campaign there. I told him I thought it wasn't a total write-off. I'll probably run in to him at a Kerry event and would love to tell him some good news.

4. when he came to portsmouth for memorial day parade
with less than 25 hour notice we might have had 100 to 200 people....

with 700 club here....that is a problem...
and I keep meeting people who aren't voting and are not registered and their answer is they are all crooks...

one other person....said he votes rethugs....

I can only assume kerry campaign knows how many are contributing and signed up from virginia.....so maybe they see numbers I don't

with george allen as one of our hateful senators and the other is wagner who I thought was a loss cause, but he does seem to be trying to do something about the torture in iraq....

the local legislature passed the worse hate admendment against gays for the whole world...takes away all their rights and contracts and any way that they have tried to make their union work......including children.

so I am not happy with what it is...but I thought I read at william and mary...students were trying to register to vote and town said no they could not vote in virginia....then I read somewhere that other towns were doing the same thing in other states...

not sure if that got settled but it did sound like there might be some active people on campus.....and that is what rethugs worry about..
the college campuses tend to be democrat around the nation..
