Audio on MSNBC just now of T. MCulloff saying this. Do they really think this will get votes?

2. Happened years ago...believe it or not, members of the Senate actually
have to come into contact with one another and travel together and speak to each other even if one is an R and one is a D.

What planet do you live on?

5. and hey, we all like to get plastered when we're on an overseas trip for work!
Well seriously - it's true. I don't expect pols to be absolute angels in this respect. On the other hand, it's sort of a sad way to have to sell yourself to the electorate.

3. Well, maybe she looked at it as Kerry tried classy and did classy very very well - and didn't win
She's tying low class.

I don't know. I grew up in Indiana in the 1950s and 1960s. I remember even being told that "young ladies" don't noticeably chew gum in public. (though I remember that "Hillary's War" article in the NYT magazine referred to her chewing gum in a Senate meeting (behind the scenes) on Iraq where they thought it necessary to mention she was chewing gum - obviously noticeably.) They certainly do not down shots. (I seriously doubt I could.)

But her main base seems to be women my mom's age - the people who brought us up and they like her. The problem is that just as it is not "stronger" to be more belligerent, that seemed to work in 2004. Kerry as a person was a stronger person morally, intellectually and physically than Bush - but Bush was a bully and had no conscience to hold him back. It depends how you defend strength. We all know that drinking with the guys - and even out drinking them is not a sign of leadership - but it may be their idea of how to avoid being labeled feminine. I found the 1992 HRC much more interesting than the caricature her handlers have given us this year. (I sometimes wonder if they somehow don't really like her.) I hope that's not who she really is.

6. I hear it wasn't too much of a contest.
Hillary had two shots of peach schnapps and McSame fell asleep in his shot of warm milk.
