Victory is lying there, waiting for us to seize it
Bush and the congressional Republicans are making it quite clear that they have no interest in taking any action to implement the recommendations of the 911 Commission.

If The Democrats on the Hill demand that this issue move to the top of the legislative agenda, and John Kerry gives them strong support, we will sweep to victory not just in the presidential race, but in both houses of Congress.

Democrats need to make this a major focus, and we need to run a national campaign on the issue. America is paying close attention, and today they saw Nancy Pelosi call for action, and Dennis Hastert advise stalling and dodging.

Democrats have an enormous opportunity to achieve great success, while doing what is right for our country. I hope we don't let this opportunity pass.
