Poll question: A poll of no consequence - If Al Gore had been running from the beginning, would you support him?
Edited on Tue May-06-08 04:52 PM by Cant trust em
If Al Gore had thrown his hat into the ring last March would he be your candidate of choice right now?

I know that this is totally useless, but the idea of a candidate we can all rally around intrigues me.

3. Gore is great but I would have gone with Obama.

Obama has a better record of standing up for progressive principles in office and Gore ran a horrible campaign in 2000. I would have been worried about whether we'd get the new Al Gore, or the old Al Gore who seemed to forget about global warming and a lot of other important issues from 1992-2001.

6. Gore should have been president, so yes.
I would have supported him. There would always be time still for Edwards and Obama, and I'd feel very comfortable with Gore at the helm at this moment in history. I'd be fine with either Edwards or Obama as VP

9. The fact that we don't have a Gore/Obama ticket makes me a little sad.
Barack is great, but he'd be even better as Al's understudy.

7. Right now?
I'd take Gore over the two choices we have now, but I'd still have supported Kucinich until he ended his run. Then I'd have gotten behind Gore.

10. Gore could have easily walked into the White House
The office was his for the taking. But he passed on it, and took his battle to save the planet to different venues. And maybe that's not so bad? This way, we'll have a great President AND Al Gore still out there fighting the good fight for all of us.

11. Al Gore was elected President in the year 2000, and the Supreme Court
said America wasn't ready for a man who won the popular vote, and needed a Republican.

Any S C member who made George W Bush our President should be sued, for 3 trillion dollars, shamed, and sent out of their judgeship, lose their law license, and get no pension or health care benefits for the rest of their lives, and maybe spend their retirement in Iraq.
