1. I think he should hold a press conference at a kiteboarding event
That's a seriously difficult sport for a sixty year-old guy to be doing!

2. Preferably while wearing a helmet
Wearing a helmet saves lives! It saved mine on more than one occasion.

This is not an endorsement of laws requiring helmets!

3. I humbly disagree
I'm a lifelong motorcyclist (first mini-bike at age 7, first road bike at 16) and I love seeing Kerry ride his Harley, helmet or no. However, it's important not to give Rove any ammunition that could make JK look silly.

Along with Machiavelli's "The Prince," Karl Rove studies Lee Atwater's dirty tricks manual on a daily basis. No matter how insignificant, anything that can will be turned into political ammo. Look what they've done by taking JK's "87 billion" quote out of context. No, it's better that Kerry look presidential as much as possible. That's something Rove has a hard time doing with Duhbya; Kerry's a natural.

BTW, remember how Georgie-boy looked in his little flight suit? Now there's something WE can use. I hope the Kerry people are smart enough to make Rove regret that photo op.

4. Kerry actually looks natural riding a Harley
Unlike Dukakis in the tank, which is what I think you're alluding to.

But he shouldn't overdo it to the point of it becoming cliche.

Maybe once in a while would work. Like he did on the "Tonight Show".

6. Every time he rides a Harley...
he loses the votes of sportbike riders everywhere!

Of course, I'm only kidding.

7. I think the Harley might play well among...
working class class white men.

As long as he doesn't look goofy (I haven't seen him ride it), then go for it!

10. Definitely! I didn't know he had a Harley. My white male conservative
southern brother, a Harley owner, would certainly relate to that! Have we found a way to attract the white southern male voters that Dean so desperately wanted to get?????? I think so...maybe. It's a good start!
