Bush Leads Kerry?
AP: Bush Leads Kerry in Electoral Votes
BOSTON (AP) - John Kerry narrowly trails President Bush in the battle for the 270 electoral votes needed to win the White House, as he makes his case at the Democratic National Convention this week...

All the polls I've seen lately say Kerry leading. What gives? AP part of the corporate media? Or am I overly optimistic?

5. Another AP article
where the bias is very obvious.

They go on about MO being a very strong state for Bush, but they don't mention the fact that Bush is doing really poorly in the states Gore won.

PA and OR MIGHT lean for Kerry after the convention? What about now? Polls have had Kerry leading by around 5 points for weeks...Same goes with OR.

WA state? Is Bush even really putting money into it? It's considered a swing state, but I don't think Bush has a chance here...similar with MI.

Recent polls also have Kerry leading in WI, MN, and IA. Granted they are all small leads, but they are by about the same margin Gore won them.

FL is FIRMLY a tossup. Polls have Kerry or Bush leading by one or two points - statistically insignificant leads. Bush may have a slight advantage in OH (he's had some small leads for a few weeks), but it's still very small...and how did he win it "comfortably" last time? He won it by about 4-5%...The article never said "Gore won PA and MI comfortably last time". Several polls had Kerry UP in WV and a recent poll has him up in NV.

What nonsense. Most electoral college projections have Kerry with a slight advantage and most of these sites are run by Bush supporters.

Another hit piece by AP.

6. Actually, Kerry has a lead within the MOE in Missouri

I think the AP article is giving more weight to what happened in 2000 than what's happening now.

I forgot about that.

Recent polls have him up in NV(4 pts), NM(? pts), MO(2 pts), and AZ(1 pt).

And these aren't Zogby interactive polls either.
