Toby Keith doing an ad for a Democrat???
My dad works at a recording studio. They do political ads all the time (during election season that is) and he said Toby Keith was supposed to do a spot for Brad Carson (D-OK) who is running for senate. What's up with that?

10. Democrat
In no way could he be as bad as Zell Miller who, as far as I know, is still allowed to call himself a Democrat in spite of all the "anti-Democratic" things he's done.

4. in a rolling stone interview
he voiced his support of Bushco, BUT he also voiced some concerns about not finding WMD's...
Maybe ol' Toby has waken up.....or maybe he just knows this Brad Carson.

5. Why do we assume dems are exempt from stupidity?
Honestly, why does the fact that Toby Keith is a proudly ignorant, jingoistic, reactionary buffoon make us assume that he is a republican?

The fact is that even the fact that this country is split 50/50 as far as dems/republicans, the ration of gullible, reactionary fools to well reasoned, calm, rationale, informed people is more like 75/25.

8. Um...
Perhaps I assume Toby Keith is a repuke because he's gone on and on and on about supporting Bush. Call it a hunch.

11. Yeah, but again.....
Just because someone is a dem doesn't mean they automatically don't support Bush. You think Zell Miller is the only one of his kind? Not a chance. There are plenty of redneck types who are registered dems for some issues or even just out of family habit/history, but on issues like guns and military and ahem..."putting boots in peoples asses", would still support bush.

6. many conservatives vote Democratic in races other than President
such as for senate, governor etc. i think it's one reason there are many registered democrats in some states, especially in the south who are regular republican voters when it comes to presidential races. but they remain democrats since there are other dems they support, especially locally.

9. he is definitely a Democrat!
A southern Democrat--and those are not very liberal. But hey--just think of all those wingers who support him just cause they think he is a repug! Great irony--and it shows that OUR party is patriotic!

13. He seems a bit jingoistic
and ignorant, but hey, that's a senate seat we really need...It's very competetive so every little bit helps. I may not be a fan of his music, but it's still good news.

republican anywhere but the south. If you're from New york or California you probably don't understand.
In the south and lower midwest for a democrat to win statewide, he's gonna sound like a freeper to the east or west coast.
My old congressman, Dan Glickman, used to campaiane in Kansas as a pretty conservative guy. In Washington ,after a few terms, his record just didn't match.
Boom!!!!!He's gone, Todd Tihart takes his place....and continues to be reelected.
