Nader's grass root are completely dead (and he's broke)
In 2000 Nader was able to raise 5.7 million in small contributions (less than $200) that accounted for 68% of his fundraising.

Thru the end of June, Ralph has collected about $550,000 is small contribution about 35% of his total of 1.5 million

Nader has $244,000 cash on hand
Nader has $250,000 in debts

Even with all the Republican handouts he's been getting his organization is flat out in the toilet.

6. Nader's done
Just the other day I convinced a well meaning friend of what a fraud he is. She wasn't going to vote for him but she still admired him and what he stood for. Then I told her about how the GOP has been doing his signature drives for him, and she was appalled. Nader is such a fool. He could have been a powerful force in the progressive community, but no one is going to listen to him now. I hope you like all the conservative wacko groups you've been hanging out with Ralph, they're the only friends you're going to have left after this year!

7. I started laughing hysterically
when reading that.

What a pathetic fool. His new crusade is to run around claiming the democrats are playing dirty tricks and that it's directed from Kerry and Edwards. He couldn't care less about the issues...such things are meaningless. All he wants to do is kill the democratic party. He wants it to lose election after election.

10. no way
He will not drop out. He has to show us (Green Party) that we made a mistake by not endorsing him.

11. I wonder if the Republicans will keep funding him
Some polls show him taking votes from Bush. I don't think that's how it would play out, but it's got to be an iffy question for the Republicans at this point.

It would be nice if the Libertarian or Constitution parties naderized shrub, but we can probably win it straight.

17. He was a non-factor, and he is a non-factor
...unless, of course, you're one of those people who thinks Nader "stole" the 2000 election.

Without party backing, Nader is nothing. People support him on his issues, but they know that voting for him will not help anyone but Nader this year. I (and many others) voted for Nader in 2000 and 1996 because he was the candidate for the Greens, but not this year.

Look for him to decrease in relevance the nearer we get to Noveber 2.
