Is anybody else watching CNN's coverage of the DNC pre-convention? |

Tonight its been all Democrats all the time!! There was an awesome People in the News about Teresa and John (K.). Also the special on Edwards was replayed. Now we're getting to listen to George Mitchell and Bill Richardson cheerlead for Kerry/Edwards. Larry also has Gergen and Dole on, who are mellow and even positive :wow: (well at least Gergen. But when Dole tries to attack it comes across as decidedly wimpy and passionless. Maybe he knows from personal experience how to recognize a futile battle. :D). Anyway, the coverage is great! I'm a happy and contented Dem camper tonight! Can't wait to see Kerry's poll numbers shoot up after the entire convention is done!! :kick:

2. It's also interesting that King picked him to be on the panel. |
|
This program is definitely not designed to undermine Kerry/Edwards. :bounce:

4. I personally don't think Bob Dole is a bad guy |
|
I do NOT like his politics, but I think he's a good hearted person. Perhaps I just don't know enough, but that's the feeling I get.

I don't like his politics--but he has a great sense of humor--and a biting wit. I am a sucker for sarcasm--and I like his ability to make fun of himself. (I liked the AmEx commercial, where he was in that small town he grew up in--and they asked him for ID--classic. His Saturday Night Live appearance was funny too)
Plus, I have a soft spot for the disabled--it is hard to go through life with a disability--so I try to never be nasty about him.
(But I am glad he didn't become president)

7. I'll never forget Dole's comment when he saw former presidents Carter, |
|
Ford and Nixon attending the same event: There they are, see no evil, hear no evil and evil.

I would have preferred that Candy Crowley be more positive with John Kerry.

5. Considering the way she viciously skewered Gore, I'm amazed at her |
|
civility. She definitely didn't fawn all over Kerry, but at least she's making an attempt to be fair.
