Dennis, we thought we knew you!
Nader's latest stop on his national alienation tour is on top of Dennis Kucinich.

http://www.votenader.com/why_ralph/index.php?cid=108

Dennis Kucinich has decided to endorse the Kerry-Edwards Campaign. Of course, since Dennis is a committed, life-long Democrat this is not a big surprise. But, in doing so he also urged Nader supporters to join Kerry-Edwards saying: "There is a place within the Democratic Party for everyone, including those who may be thinking of supporting Ralph Nader." Sorry Dennis, but most Nader supporters would find it very difficult to support the Kerry-Edwards ticket.

First Michael Moore and now Dennis.

1. Why? Kerry's more liberal than Nader. Nader is backed by the RNC

5. Yes, and isn't it ironic that he lambasts Dennis for wanting Bush out of
office while bitching about the war, the pat act, health care, capital punishment etc..

2. Nader should talk
Where the hell was he during the primaries? Nader said, repeatedly, that he would not run if Dennis were the Democrats' nominee. However, he didn't do a damn thing to get people out to support Dennis in the primaries.

This is nothing new for Nader. He seems hell-bent on p!ssing off all of his old friends who won't back him for president. It's quite sad to see him self-destruct like this, after all he's done for this country.

4. Well Ralph, we DO know YOU, and that's why ...
we see through your bullshit this time.

"The Democrats are going to have to lose more elections. They didn't get the message last time."

...

"After November we're going to go after the Congress in a very detailed way, district by district. We're going to beat them in every possible way. If Democrats are winning 51 to 49 percent, we're going to go in and beat them with Green votes. They've got to lose people, whether they are good or bad."

Republican Party?

And Nader?

The real questions should be: "Ralph, we thought we knew you."

8. I wouldn't bet on that. Kucinich raised a couple mil, and Nader only .5m
I wouldn't be surprised if Kucinich got more money from registered Republicans than Nader got.

7. Nader people (I used to be one BTW) have to realize that they can't just
jump to the top of the ladder, we all have to take one step at a time otherwise we risk falling down face first.

I applaud both Dennis and Michael for realizing how important getting Bushco out of power is.

Nader can kiss my ass, I regret my vote for him in 2000 more than anything and I live in a very red southern state. He is getting help from republicans and anti-gay groups, are you OK with this?

14. The way I see it, someone either wants Bush to win, or not. The choice
is Kerry or Bush. Take your pick. There are no other viable candidates on the ballot.

If someone wants to further Bush's cause by voting in a way that helps him, then that person is not a part of the solution; he's part of the problem. And that person has no cause for complaint during the next four years, should Bush win.

Normally I don't feel this way. But this is an election year unlike any other before. Every vote counts, and the choices are Kerry and Bush. I'm not crazy about the choices, either. But that's what they are. And I certainly don't want Bush to win. I think that scenario is too dangerous for the country, for me, for the environment, for us all economically.

15. I heard Sean Hannity
Edited on Mon Jul-26-04 03:56 PM by fujiyama
is giving Nader some time (~3 hrs?). I've also noticed Fox News in general giving Nader a good amount of time on the station.

Apparently (I didn't see the interview) but Chris Matthews was interviewing Nader and Chris asked, "you do know WHY Hannity is giving you this time?".

I cannot imagine Nader being quite so stupid. I think Nader ENJOYS being a tool for the right, because he knows he has no friends left on the left. These republicans thugs (also throw in Grover Norquist in the mix) are the closest thing to friends he has.

16. Oh jesus christ
Kucinich does what they always wanted, an attempt to move the party in the direction they want, and because he gets behind the ticket, they are now dissing him, god Dennis doesnt deserve this kind of shit, and Dennis is right on when he says theres a place within the democratic party for everyone.

18. What the heck are you talking about?
""There is a place within the Democratic Party for everyone, including those who may be thinking of supporting Ralph Nader." Sorry Dennis, but most Nader supporters would find it very difficult to support the Kerry-Edwards ticket."

Are you insinuating that people who consider Nader shouldn't vote for Kerry? Are you expecting to get by only on the people who have already made up their minds for Kerry?

I think Kerry'll take the votes he can get.

20. Dennis, you're a good and intelligent man
All on the left have a common interest this time around. Sure, there are some things that Kerry can't run on and still win, and there are some things that he could run on but can't/won't support, but there are far more things we all have a common interest in:

The environment - 4 more years of Bush and we'll all be drinking arsenic and breathing cyanide.

The economy - 4 more years of Bush and we'll all be working for starvation wages, if we can find any work at all

The Supreme Court - 4 more years of Bush and we're sure to have a nasty cuntservative reactionary and relatively young new Supreme Court Justive or two, perhaps up to 4.

Civil rights - 4 more years of Bush and we'll all be in fear of death or imprisonment just for speaking our minds.

Anyone who can allow Bush to have another 4 years of his destructive agenda and claims there ain't no difference between the parties is cherry picking their "reasons" for that argument - when the big picture is taken into consideration there's a damned HUGE difference and Greens, Nader supporters, independents, swing voters and new voters need to unite, as Dennis says, to purge the country of this menace, and this time it's not Dennis that's the menace :)

Choose Kerry Lose Bush - FUCK BUSH - Drop Bush Not Bombs!

Nader wanted Edwards as vp, and that's who Kerry chose.

John Edwards fights for consumers like Nader.

25. what a silly article
they point out that DK is a "committed, life-long Democrat", and then wonder that he would invite potential Nader voters to vote for the Democratic candidates? Wouldn't it be more strange for a "committed, life-long Democrat" to NOT invite support for the Democratic party?
