In the event of 269 EV would the District of Columbia withhold its' votes? |

In 2000 Gore earned 267 but received 266 votes because D.C. protested its' lack of representation. Since a tie would be a defacto loss for Kerry would the electors of the District of Columbia do the same thing again or is there strong enough interest in observing an entertaining but farcical Presidential tie?

1. In the 2000 election . . . . |
|
. . . only one of the District's three electors withheld her vote from Gore. The final Electoral College tally was Bush 271, Gore 266 and "other" 1.

I have 2004 data lodged in my brain, not 2000. I will edit the post.
The question is still valid, would they withhold their one vote(of three)?

3. I'm pretty sure the elector would vote for Kerry |

After all, he's the one who wants DC to be a state, not Bush. I'm certain he/she will be smart enough to figure that out.
