I just got home from Logan Airport
where I was volunteering for the DNCC. My job, along with many others was to greet VIP (as designated by the DNCC CEO) arrivals.

This evening, it was my distinct pleasure to meet a fine gentleman, none other than Robin Cook of Great Britain!!!

I have soooooo much respect for this man's integrity. To resign from the high position he held for the sake of his convictions was, I think, one of the most admirable acts of dignity we have seen during this debacle!

I am so excited at having met and chatted with this man as we waited for the car sent to pick him up, I will likely not sleep at all tonight! (Which is probably a good thing, since the convention my go on for a little while yet, huh)?

3. We chatted about...
his lost cufflink (the flight crew found it while we were waiting at the car stand), John Kerry's chances, and, believe it or not, Ralph Nader. He was very pleasant and friendly. He was rather astonished that the DNC actually had 2 people meet him, and yet another pick him up in the car to drive him to his hotel. He is, after all, no longer an "official" in the government.

It was a very pleasant experience, and I am so glad I was part of it.
