Kerry in Control
Is it just me or is Kerry looking more Presidential than Shrub lately? When I say this I mean more than usual, since Shrub has trouble walking and thinking at the same time. I have noticed over the past week that Kerry seems to be controlling certain events, making Shrub react to his moves.

The first was the release of the 911 Commission Report. Immediately after it was released, Kerry advocated initiating all the recommendations and said, if elected, he would convene the people to immediately implement the fixes. This occurred as the Repubs were packing their bags for recess and Shrub was hemming and hawing around about the report. Once Kerry stated his position, both Shrub and the Repubs in Congress were forced to change their tack and suddenly appear very interested in getting things done. The most apparent example of this was Hastert doinga complete 180 last week from "not sure if we can get to this soon" to "gonna cut the vacation short to knock this out" (Not actual quotes).

Kerry did it again yesterday when he stated that he felt the 911 Commission should exist for another 18 months to help implement things and keep the ball moving downfield. Just heard on MSNBC that Bush was weighing whether to keep the Commish around for that period of time, it will be interesting to see if he does, since he didn't want it to exist in the first place.

One of the most obvious indicators of power is when people react to you, not the other way around. Lately it seems to me that Kerry is in this position and has Shrub jumping through hoops to keep up with him on the 911 situation. Plus, every time Shrub follows his lead, it makes him look even worse, because it shows Kerry has more leadership ability and vision for this country.

Just curious if anyone else hear has noticed this. I welcome any comments and feedback as to whether I am right or wrong.

2. No surprise. Clinton relied on Kerry quite a bit when

it came to foreign policy and military decisions. Kerry has the confidence of someone who knows what he's talking about. He did write The New War in 1996-7, the book that alerted the world to the international funding of global terror networks.

He saw how BCCI and the nations involved promoted terror networks and helped cover up their criminal enterprises.

3. I agree. Every time Kerry says something I think of Chimp and
his crew going,"Damn why didn't we think of that?"
