KerryEdwards.com bid hits $150,000

The personal website of Kerry Edwards, KerryEdwards.com, who initially declined to put his domain up for sale, has now done so – with a substantial price tag. The site is being auctioned off to the highest bidder. It’s current price tag? $150,000.

“The day we issued a press release we got five George Bush offers,” said Keith Watson, a spokesman for the site. He added that none of those offers turned out to be valid, but that the $150,000 high bid checks out.

Is the Kerry camp bidding on the domain? He doesn’t know, he said.

But “I would assume no based on the comments they made publicly,” he added.
