And The Most Important Leader At The Democratic National Convention Is…
This article seems to really capture the reality what is happening at the Democratic National Convention.

And The Most Important Leader At The Democratic National Convention Is…
By Natasha H., age 13

And the most important leader at the Democratic National Convention is DENNIS KUCINICH.

True, absent some unusual circumstances, John Kerry will walk away the Party nominee. Since this is a foregone conclusion, Kerry’s presence really isn’t needed. His perceived job right now is to try to convince people that he is better than George W. Bush and to impress them with his image and presentation. For Kerry and his supporters, the Democratic National Convention will be nothing more than a five-day commercial. Since Edwards is the VP nominee-apparent, the convention will be all about show and image for him too.

...

So who is at the convention to speak for the issues most Americans want? One person: Dennis Kucinich. Dennis will be holding rallies both inside and outside the convention and will be speaking at the convention for the purpose of working to get what people want most into the forefront. Dennis will be standing up for an immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq. The Veterans for Peace will be among those marching in support of this. This immediate withdrawal is something that not only civilians but military personnel and their families want. He will be standing up for the creation of a Department of Peace, which will make us safer at home and will also make the world a safer place for Americans. He will be fighting to bring American jobs back home through a cancellation of NAFTA and withdrawal from the WTO. He will be fighting for single-payer universal health care so Americans adults and children do not die because of their economic status or because hard workers are between jobs. He will be fighting for publicly funded education, pre-school through college. What a burden would be lifted from all American families to know that their concerns about college are handled. He is standing up for a moratorium on the death penalty, a penalty which is endangering the lives of a great many innocent Americans, Polls continue to show that most Americans support this moratorium – even as Bush tries to expand the death penalty to violations of U.S.A.-PATRIOT – an act aimed at destroying the liberties of and, now perhaps, soon to be ending the lives of millions of good upstanding Americans. Dennis is also fighting for the repeal of this unpatriotic act. Dennis is also standing up for the environment, equal protection, the right of women to be in charge of their own bodies and other important issues that the Democratic Party needs to back if it is to be the great party it once was. These are the things we need in the Democratic Platform and that is why Dennis is the most important leader at the Democratic Convention. This is the reason he stayed in the race – not for himself, but for us.

1. Dennis has many detractors especially in his native Cleveland...
(mostly repubs) but I believe that Dennis has the best interests of "we the people" at heart first and foremost. Dennis has always been an advocate of the little people, the ones that do not have $million$ lobbyists to argue their case. I support Dennis and he will bring a voice to the convention that needs to be heard.
